My top makeup looks

1.  All Natural : this look plays with lovely bronzes, nudes, beiges and creams, the eyes are swept with gold shimmery eyeshadows, peach or nude lip gloss, and a little highlight bronzer on the cheek bones giving a dewy look

2. The smokey eye : this look has all the focus on the eyes, a lot of greys, blacks and charcoal hues on the lids, a light pink blush on the cheeks and a nude lip

3. The bold lip : the rest of the face is matte neutral and natural, simple black liner and black mascara and a bold red or coral lip matte finish no gloss

4. The bold eye : rich intense pigments on the lids often in several blocks of colour, reaching as far up as the brow bone, simple bronze cheeks and peach lips

Books

I gradutaed from University with a specialist degree in English, so I have had to read a lot of books over the years. I am in love with the english language and have always been an avid reader for as long as I could remember. My collection in quite extensive, especially my english literature books. I have so many books that I actually ran out of places to put them all, so I have some stored in the basement "storage room" (really a room to store junk) but no matter how much space I run out of I still have this horrible habit of buying more books.

Seriously, it is so hard for me to walk away from a great book. Forget Chapters, I have had to forego visiting in person because I end up putting quite a dent in my wallet, although I have just started ordering from them online. I also love to thrift shop and I find a great number of my most beloved books from second hand shops around the city. I picked up a few things from my neighbourhood Value Village and received some of my online Chapters orders in the mail...take a look.

great coffee table reads

cute second hand books, look what I found when I removed the book jacket...

lovely dinner bell in antique brass

a personal fav, my vintage copy of my favourite Shakespearean play Romeo & Juliet, plus my new candelabra that says made in Italy

For those of you who love books as much as I do, I want to recommend a little store on the Danforth called Re:Reading where I am sure you will find some great books, they have a vast collection and a section of rare and collectibles. You can also take a load off and sit in their comfy couches at the front of the store to do a little what else... reading!

Make Your Own Tea

I found this creative little project via merrimentdesign, on how to make your own tea bags. In this case there was a tea party where you get empty handsewn tea bags and you get to fill them with your own blends and take them home to enjoy.

You can find the tutorial {here}
